Wondering what we're all about? Well you've come to the right place!

Living Vegan first started as an idea years ago after enduring some of the struggles of transitioning to a Vegan, and the questions that came thereafter. As a new vegan especially (or even as a person considering becoming one), you can often feel lost and confused, and most of the sites out there weren't very well organized/functional. On top of that, many of the sites that allowed you to communicate with other users did so at a cost. Sign up here for free!  O, you want to talk to that user? well get out your credit card!  We feel that a supportive community is important and essential, not only to new vegans, but to vegans in general. Living Vegan's goal is to help make living as a vegan as easy as possible by providing you with the tools to do so.

Living Vegan is here to support people from all walks of life, EVEN NON-VEGANS!  It doesn't matter the reason why you're vegan, we all have one basic goal, and that goal is LIVING! At Living Vegan we believe it's all about living, not struggling, with questions and confusion. This is our set focus, which means, we set the politics aside for the most part. We are not a political site, and we are not an activist site, and it's very important that you keep that in mind. Just because you don't shop or dine at a specific establishment for a specific reason, doesn't mean we won't list it, because it still may be helpful to many others living a vegan lifestyle.

However, If there's one thing here we take serious it is the definition of VEGAN. We follow the true and only definition of Vegan as created and defined by Donald Watson in 1944. And as you can tell by our restaurants investigation, that's something we stick to. We're also not afraid to use the two other letters after V-E-G, especially being that our main focus is a vegan lifestlye, but remember, we're here to support and network with non-vegans as well, so don't shy away.
