In celebration of the new Living Vegan website, and more specifically our new recipes section, we'll be having a recipe book giveaway. We'll be giving away one copy of Skinny Bitch in a Box, this includes Skinny Bitch and Skinny Bitch in the Kitch together in hardcover, exclusively packaged in a deluxe slipcased box set. We'll also be giving away a copy of Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World. All you have to do to become eligible is signup as a member if you haven't already, and contribute something to the site. This can be a recipe, photos, reviews, etc. We'll announce the winners on November 30th. Please note, this contest is open to north american residents only. If you live overseas and are selected, we will still ship the book to you if you agree to cover additional overseas shipping costs.

I just read Skinny Bitch and it was exactly what I needed to push me over the edge. I've been "toying" with the idea of becoming vegetarian or vegan. I know it's the right thing to do, but couldn't quite make that committment. After reading this book, let me tell ya, the only problem I have now is what to do with the freezer full of meat that I can't stomach to eat!

My family switched to a vegan lifestyle six months ago. It's been fantastic! I thought that we'd miss everything, but there are so many recipes available online now that we feel like we're splurging all of the time! My husband and I feel fitter, younger, and happier. We use plenty of websites regularly including www.thekindlife.com and www.veganyumyum.com for recipes and now we have this site! Thanks!

I love reading your posts and seeing the amazing pictures! My partner and I are both struggling college students who spent all of our extra money supporting local vegan bakeries/resturants/products. Together we have been vegan for over 20 years!! He has been vegan for 15 years and myself for 6. Our favorite way to find out about new vegan places is happycow.net but we are very excited about your site and all of its features! We will be telling all of our friends. I have only been a vegan for a year, but since i have been, i have never felt better. I have more energy and my asthma is half way gone. I would love to read these books.
