"Erewhon Natural Foods market occupies 12,000 square feet and has become a model store in the natural foods industry offering the finest selection of organically-grown produce, groceries and macrobiotic staples. A wide variety of natural remedies including vitamins, herbs and homeopathics is also available."

On the west side, Georgetown Market is a smaller version of Wild Oats with an excellent restuarant. I found vegan ricemellow here (in a tub, not the actual "marshmellows"). There is a fairly large bulk and healthcare section. They don't carry a lot of vegetables, but they are all organic. The restuarant mostly carries sandwiches, but they are awesome!

Independently owned, vegan friendly grocery store. It's cozy but they have most of your vegan staples. It has been for around for about 30 years. They're friendly and way more knowledgeable than any chain. They're good about ordering things for you, although their produce is sometimes lacking.
Bigger than your local grocery store, and smaller than your local big box supermarket, Henry's Market Place offers a quick and convenient shopping experience with plenty of vegan options. They have multiple locations in the Orange County area.
